"Christian is a very creative and talented artist. His work has been used all over the world and received nothing but good feedback. He is a quick worker who understands workethics and business as well as the artistic side of things."

-Taco van Sambeek, Product Manager, Commodore Gaming

Christian Mirra  was born in Benevento, Italy on the 14/6/77. He took a Bachelor Degree in Politics in Napoli, but he was always drawing in class.

In 1999 he left Italy and went to Barcelona where he spent 6 years studying Illustration, Flash animation, and Graphic Design, and perfecting his Spanish, Catalan and English.

Then he moved to Amsterdam where he kept a double job as a Graphic Designer and a Graphic Novelist. That meant sometimes working 7 days per week, but it was fine since outside it was always raining anyways.

He worked as a Creative Designer for Commodore Gaming, taking care mostly of the advertising banners and animations and cooperating with leader firms of the videogaming world, such as Electronic Arts, Nintendo, CCP, THQ, GOA, Ubisoft.

Meanwhile Christian kept working on his comic projects in his free time.

On January 2008 Sergio D'Argenio, writer and editor, joined efforts with Christian and helped him creating his first Graphic Novel, Quella notte alla Diaz. On July of the same year, an extract of the novel was published on the Italian newspaper il Manifesto and exposed in the Palazzo Ducale of Genoa and in the Crack Comics Festival  in Rome. The comics writer and editor Tito Faraci took interest in Christian's work and by the end of the year the rights to publish Quella notte alla Diaz were purchased by Ugo Guanda Editore.

On January 2009 the Maestro Antonio Cella joined Christian and Sergio and the trio started working on several mysterious comics projects that will soon be revealed.

The first work of the trio, a short story called Monnezza, has been published by Nicola Pesce Editore within the anthology Sherwood Comix-immagini che producono azioni  by Emiliano Rabuiti and Claudio Calia.

As for Quella Notte alla Diaz, its publishing by Guanda is expected on February 2010.

Currently Christian is glad to do a job he loves, but he has realized he also needs to do some extra activity a part of working. For instance, eating sometimes or having a glass of water.

He has left Amsterdam to go back to Spain, where he lives in a little house with a well in the the woods behind Barcelona, and he is finding a new balance between his customers, his comic projects, walks in the nature, fiestas and tapas.
